Eating Identity: Theorizing the Everyday Foreign Policy Assemblage

Abstract While everyday high-level practices have become an important area of study in foreign policy research, the every day (wo)man has been overlooked both theoretical and empirical conceptualizations. Building on feminist, sociological, ethnographic this article argues that is assemblage—a combination physical cultural inhabit digital bodily spaces. Following feminist call to liberate international relations from straitjacket high politics, aims contextualize within daily regular citizens, who enact at home, supermarket, online. In effect, not just about discussing identity, it also embodying literally eating it. This focuses grassroots sanctions Russia aftermath annexation Crimea.
